I worked on a couple of different projects with P3 Entertainment Group and then For The Culture as part of their rebrand, but it was the work with their publicist, Brandi “Bean” Clements, that would lay the foundation for a lot my future DE&I work. Publicists are one of the many unsung heroes in the music industry, but also in other industries as well. Due to the work Bean had done over the years as a publicist and also in radio I started helping her develop her own radio show or podcast. The Bean Show seemed to make the most sense to me as I envisioned the show as kind of variety style late night TV show before we realized something like that was probably better fit for me.
Eventually, we decided on The B-Side and logo #4 below. The premise for the show was something that would give people a look behind the scenes and help recognize the work that is done by people behind the scenes like Bean. Since I have had the privilege of working with people like Bean and I know they have great ideas the goal was to not just tell these stories, but also help them develop their own projects and ideas. So as part of that work I helped Bean develop the logo for her public relations company and then the logo for the re-design/re-brand for Clements Public Relations. When I started working on the test footage for the Storytelling Through Music Project with Stockton University I realized that was really just the evolution of The B-Side project I started working on with Bean years ago.
